Romantic Gwen

Friday, April 06, 2012

Hi there! It's a new month which means that The Stamp Spot have a new challenge! This month it is all about incorporating spots of pink, brown, and ovals. There is a fantastic prize on offer: a $15 voucher to The Stamp Spot!!! So head on over there and get your entries in :)

The card that I made for the challenge uses the too cute Romantic Gwen from Some Odd Girl. This card was going to be my take on CAS but it sort of took on a life of its' own! hehe. I have also incorporated the three spots for this month's challenge.

I have embossed the background piece of kraft with my Tim Holtz Damask folder and propped it up with foam tape to give it some dimension. I have added in some beautiful DP from My Mind's Eye, some pearls, and some flowers from my stash. For texture, I added some cheesecloth, jute ribbon, and corrugated cardboard.  I have also thrown in some flourishes from Make it Crafty for good measure :)

I have coloured Gwen using copic markers. Here are the colours that I used:

Skin: E50, E53, E11, E00, R11
Hair: E31, E35, E37
Dress: R20, R22, R29
Cardigan: B00, B02, B09

Challenges that I am entering with this card:

Some Odd Girl - Colour Challenge
CCEE Stampers - Embossing Folder
Digi Doodle Shop - Use Something New (I used one of my new embossing folders in my new die cutter :)
4 Crafty Chicks - Flowers

Can't wait to see what you all create for this month's challenge! :)
